Galen’s Tag Service still operating?

Hmm. I wonder if Davo's solution would work on Imperial Services as well.

so what's their story ?
I've been thinking of trying to get one of their late trans in early mopar (60 dodge) conversion cable sets

Gal was born before the Dodge brothers got sick...could be he has some age related issues...kiddin...seriously have no idea...just that I've heard of this guy for a long-long time

It is always entertaining reading about GG stories. I still run into people at some of the local cruise night locations who have recently bought their first Mopar. Talking to them, they tell me how they are going to contact this guy named Galen Govier and have him decode their fender tag or have him come an inspect their car. A sure sign that they are still real green horns.

I'll take happy and excited greenhorns any day over stuck up asshole regulars who make it their business to self-appoint themselves as pseudo-Galen Goviers of everyone else's vehicle.

this is what you get a big headed A Hole not worth the time or money you can doc. it yourself and do a better job

polywide block; I too thought the Imperial Services conversion cable was the way to go as I have a later ( 68 ) TF in my 63 B-body. But after sending I.S. my cherry
push putton mechanism and a bunch a cash via PayPal ( they're one of these vendors
that demand payment upfront, big mistake), their communications ceased. They were real "chatty" 'til they got paid and the PayPal claim time limit expired. This was about 21 months ago, and all my efforts a getting an update have failed ( email and phone messages ). I have heard of an instance where it took someone 3 years to get a conversion done by them. So, here I am sitting here trying to decide how I want to pursue this, and if in reality there are any options. Too bad. I think they were putting
out a workable solution to the newer TF in older B-bodies. I know even Bob Mosher was quoted as considering that option in a MoparMax article about his business since
older cable shift TF's are getting rarer. So, I guess you could try a get a hold of I.S.
and see what they say, if anything. I would be real hesitant about sending them any parts or money
though unless you feel like gambling. Apparently I rolled and lost. Maybe some other vendor will pick up the idea and run with it. Good luck.

Back to the subject of Galen's Tag Service... Having filed two complaints with the Wisconsin Better Business Bureau, I am ineligible to write a "review" of this business on the Wisconsin BBB website. However, if there are other customers of this "business" that have NOT filed a written complaint, there is a place on the BBB website to write a review of your experience dealing with Galen's Tag Service, whether good or bad. Let other consumers know about your experience.

GTS doesnt have a problem taking your money for a repo tag but that's when the communication stops. It's been a year now and they don't respond to emails or phone calls. He's not a car guy...he's not a businessman...he's a POS.

Gee Carl, you just need to have a little more patience...... You could get the runaround for twenty months like I did.
However, when your patience runs out, do this- Go online and file a complaint with the Wisconsin BBB.
It was easy, rewarding, and it was kind of FUN!!! Good luck!

I've been patient and I've been polite with my inquiries. The only thing I want back is my original fender tag. He can keep the money I want to cancel my order.

I never in twenty months ever talked to anyone but a lady- never to GG. It was the most frustrating experience I have ever had.
I'm serious- go online to the Wisconsin BBB and file a complaint. That is what they are for. After I did, GTS was calling ME- THAT DAY- wanting to resolve the problem. They still lied and jerked me around for a week or so, but finally sent me my stuff. Don't agree to the complaint being resolved with the BBB until your tag is in your hand. Or your money back.

Just for fun, I just went to the Wisconsin BBB website and looked up GTS. It is worse than I thought. They have an "F" rating, and it is full of horror stories just like yours and mine. And they have not been responding to complaints.
Not good....

14.5 YEARS??? I’d be takin a road trip to beat someone’s ***.

When you call and get asked for a credit card before they'll discuss anything I gave up about 14 years ago. Not long after that I learned his reports mean **** anyhow, so don't care.

wow what a scammer, seems like that is theft and should be punishable by law.

I would be careful publicly trashing Galen here. There are still some hold out people out there who worship the very thought of him and you might then be subject to their wrath.
Just don't count me as one of them.

Remember GG being responsive, always pricy; but responsive...that was a long time ago. Could be old age caught up to him or poor health or switched to doing Phords...
