Got a 1961 Ford Falcon Futura restored recently, cost me damn near as much as getting my 69 Roadrunner restored. It's equipped with 144 cubic inch 3 on the tree. drives like a dream.

Love that interior. My Dad had a 60. Six. Three on tree. Best memory was the vacuum wipers stopping during throttle applications.

What is the sentimental attachment to the car?

Don't you love that anti carjacking device, shifter, hanging on the rh side of the column?

I've kinda been looking for a 61 Ranchero......

My first vehicle was a 47 Ford Pickup. I put a mustang 289 auto in it. It had the vacuum wipers. You'd have to lift about half way through, when passing in the rain, to clean the windshield to see.

Took it out yesterday, top speed 90 miles per hour. Compared to my Roadrunner 140.

I’ll bet your passengers just loved that trick. Gotta love it.
