That appears to be an old style transistor, if you mean the recessed area at top left.
 
Audio Output Transistor.
 
It’s not old transistors that look like that, it’s more about power dissipation.
If in fact your transistor is cooked I probably have a new replacement. I have literally thousands of new vintage electronic parts.

the radio I bought does not have 1 and the holes are there for it.
 
If you can locate a schematic diagram that says what the part number is I can see if I have any, but be aware that it may not be as simple as just putting the transistor in and living happily ever after. The old part was removed for a reason. It may have been done with a set of side cutters, and other parts inside may be missing. Or worse. It may be easier to just get another radio. These aren’t terribly rare. The AM/FM ones are the hard ones to find.
But in any case, if you can get me a part number I’ll see what I have.,
 
Or it may never have had an additional power transistor. Stereo radios would have multiple power transistors, some chassis parts were commonly used for both mono and stereo on some radios, having empty transistor locations on the some mono versions.
