69 superbee - finally being built!

Can't go wrong with blue cars. Here's my 68. Keep up the good work!

Hydro blue metallic. It's a newer jeep color. Code PBJ. It has some pearl in it too. Really changes color in different light. Nothing like picking the hardest color to paint for my first time. Took my time, did a ton of research and it turned out great. Three coats of color and a drop coat, then 4 coats of clear. Then cut and buffed it.

started on the one quarter panel today. the way we lined it up was we put a tape line on the body line on the lower side then put tape near the top of the quarter and measured at certain points to find the distance between the two tape lines, then transferred the tape to the new panel and after cutting out most of the old panel to allow the new one to go over top, then made sure our measurements were the same to get the placement of the new panel. The Next Step will be to draw out where I want to cut it exactly and then cut both panels together so I can get a nice tight fit.

I tried out my new body saw tool and learned that bondo really wears down the blade quickly.

Test fitted new patch pieces for the door pillar. Ready to weld in. I got too tired to finish it tonight.

Ok so I am hijacking my own thread but I am just excited because I started my colour change on my GTX and I love the paint colour. Pictures don't do it justice though.

Pulled the old girl outside for some sunshine and with my son and friend's help, got the rear end installed and now she is back on 4 wheels. it feels good to see her coming back to life.

Well I picked up this ugly piece, but it is a tail light panel and it's fixable

Ok so it's been awhile, just getting the metal work done over the winter. I'm hoping to get it in paint by mid-summer

Today I made it easier to put stuff in the trunk. I have some work to do in the wheel well and rocker area before putting the new quarter panel on.
