A different shoulder belt set-up (build date July/1970)?

I can't see what's different about it. I see end of waist belt and I assume shoulder part is attached up top.

That's correct. I have the same interior but have a "buddy" seat which will have 3 receptacles( buddy seat and then one for the shoulder and lap) on the driver's side of the hump or tranny tunnel and a receptacle and a male on the other side of the tranny ump (for buddy seat and the passenger seat). More than not, the buddy seat won't be used nor the shoulder belt so I more than likely will just stash them under the buddy seat.

I thought the 1971 and 1972 B Bodies used the same funky seat belt arrangement, but I could be wrong.

What I see above in the Hemi bucket seat car in my first post is a vehicle with a console and four female seat belts (two on each front seat cushion).

There is no buddy seat, and if there were, you can't click together two female type buckles together.

My '72 Satellite Sebring Plus has one female seat belt for each bucket seat (the female end originates on the trans tunnel).

The shoulder strap is secured with a hole in the chrome part on the end that comes down from the roof. That hole goes over a peg.

The peg is built-in to the male end that is pulled out from the bottom of the door.

Point is, the original picture is the factory. The other pics are conversions. Yeah the two belt system is a pia but thats the way it was.

My car had 2 receptacles. One for the lap and shoulder. The rest is in my post if you had a "buddy" seat. I've never seen the belts as in your last 3 posts, Dibbons

All I can conclude then, is that the 1971 and 1972 factory seat belt arrangement for B bodies differ.

The fotos in my post #6 above display the factory driver side seat belts in my '72 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus. My factory original owner's manual describes how to use the belts on page 13 (see foto)

I can only guess how the shoulder belts fit/adjust on the '71 Hemi B Body for sale because the shoulder belt is not visible in the advertisement fotos.

Dibbons the belts that you are showing are 72-3 and are what are in my 72 and 73's. 71 is a 1 year only and the Hemi car looks correct.

That is corecto mundo!!

Actually 73-74 would be correct. Not exactly a safe setup in my opinion.

74 has the retractor in the rear seat area and the shoulder built is built in.
You have to negotiate the shoulder belt, which spans the roof to floor area, when entering the rear seat.

This also makes the rear seat panel under the window different.
