Doing some repair on my 1964 fury. The interior is original paint in good shape. So is engine bay. Lookin for a single stage urethane that is a close match to the color. Anyone have any experience with the SPC global "restoration shop" line or there oem paint match library and how close it was to original. Any insight appreciated. The color I'm trying to match is medium turquiose and the code is KK-1.
Thanks.

Is that different from the later turquoise ? I use bill Hirsh engine paints, maybe give him a call. Very nice guy to talk with.

I'm painting my car not the engine. I think your referring to the light turquoise paint that Chrysler used on engine's and trans for multiple years. I'm talking about the metallic medium turquiose mopar used in the early 60's as body color.

Oh, duh... sorry !
no problem, thanks anyway. I'm looking for someone who knows about an inexpensive paint color that is a close match to the 1964 kk-1 turquoise metallic body color. Heres a picture that I found online which shows the color. used on 64 mopars. I noticed TCP global has many shades of metallic turquoise single stage paint pre mixed. wondering if anyone has done similar touch ups and knows which one of there shades is the closest? I know that's a long shot but seeing what info's out there

Go to your local PPG store. They most likely will have formula or will have computer/picture taker that can analyze your paint and come up with a formula. Not always 100%, but usually close. If they have a good technician he/she can usually dial it in from there. Did this with my kk-1 car.
