I had a alternator bracket bolt break off in the water pump housing late this Fall on my 66 Coronet 383 so I parked the car for the winter. Since we had a mild week of temps this past week I replaced the old water pump housing with a new one along with adding a new Edelbrock intake, Quick Fuel carb and Holley mechanical fuel pump. Buttoned everything back up today and after connecting battery back up and trying to start the car I got no juice anywhere. No lights, no power anywhere. Had the battery on a charger this past week so pretty sure battery is good, tried jumping it and still nothing. No neutral safety switch on this car. We had family Christmas at our place tonight so I didn't have time to dig into it. Any ideas? I wonder what I did or didn't do, kind of weird I have no power anywhere not even at the headlight switch on the dash. Battery cables are not new but don't look bad and worked fine when I parked it. Thanks!

Look over everything you touched while working on it, confirm your battery connections are good then buy a multimeter otherwise your just guessing. I do however agree with Don, given what you were working on that's the most likely thing you would have disturded.

Thanks for the help on this one, Found a 40 amp inline fuse that was blown in the location of where a fusible link was originally installed. Cause of the blown fuse was a short in my alternator. The insulator on the alternator output stud broke and was shorting to the alt housing.
