My God the car is gorgeous. Caveat Emptor though. I would look at it in person and have enough on me to pay fullprice if necessary if it is as good as it looks. Drive it home.

Add says it's a unrestored survivor with 1 repaint. The under carriage is what I'm concerned about.

Interesting car if it's a true survivor. Since it was my recent topic, I've got to note that this car has no radiator support "black out" treatment! Never seen a radiator overflow hose run that way.. and looks like the window washer pump could use some help up. Other than that it sure looks complete. EDIT.. I missed the "one repaint"..

I'm no expert, but the exhaust is not correct ... wheres the tips ? Interior needs a good amount of attention ... price is high in my opinion, I do like the color combo though

I also liked the color's

Neat car.
That said, I would do a thorough, in person, inspection.

Some things I see:

The negative:
-Interior is really rough
-Underside is in unmolested condition, but will most likely need most of the components rebuilt. Front suspension, rear suspension, brakes, fuel system, etc....
-the car, while largely unmolested, is not a survivor as it’s been repainted
-fender tag has quite a bit of corrosion
-color combo is so, so
-car will most likely need lots of TLC to make it a reliable driver

Some positive stuff:
-supposedly numbers matching (needs to be verified)
-relatively highly optioned
-looks to be fairly unmolested

Again, only a thorough, in person, inspection will tell the tale.

Fender tag was a rusty mess inner fender nice? Underside undone, cosmetic resto. Maybe a bondo buggy.

The dealer should easily prove one owner. Knowing that fact, I'm going to say it's priced right.
Keep in mind we are entering Barrett Jackson hype time. Prices seem to creep up after Barrett Jackson for a time.

It’s good most of you will never see my car in person. Probably be valued at $100. And, I would not care. A hood, fender, steering wheel, and console alone can cost 5k on here.

I get to disagree. Love your car! In my opinion it's one of the nicest drivers I've ever had seat time in.

This car has been for sale for a bit as it keeps popping up when I have done a search for 1969 t5 copper Bee's. I love the color and am painting my current project in this color. Couple of things I notice is that the steering wheel is cracked, dash is looking pretty rough as well as the gauges. Probably will need electrical work. Underside looks untouched and I am certain it will need suspension work as well. Always gets me when somebody gives a car a nice paint job but doesn't address anything underneath. Need to see some pics of all the frame rails as well as the torsion bar crossmember.

roger have you made a offer on this keep in mind to give you some wiggle room for repairs

The butchered dash for the Single DIN radio... It would need either a new dash or a piece grafted back in.

For starters it is not a survivor.......People use that term very loosely today....

Now the car appears to retain all its original sheetmetal. If that can be determined than that is a HUGE positive.

It is a complete car and runs/drives.....There is a lot of documentation that follows the car....

So if the sheetmetal question is correct....IMHO if you like the color combo and everything else checks out.......It is a good car at a decent asking price....

As noted, thoroughly inspect the car in person....

No I haven't made an offer. When it's this far away from home I ask the experts here 1st.
Trust me we appreciate the positive note.....However, in person is the true tell all......Hire an inspector to give you an accurate report. Or if there is a qualified member here that can go see the car.......Or fly out yourself to check it out...

I agree what you guys say determines what my next step is as I have never owned a bee so I don't what you guys do.

The next question is what are your plans if you had this car now? That determines if your opening up into a money pit...

Next what capabilities do you have? Mechanical, electrical etc....
