Anyone have experience with the reproduction brake booster and dual master cylinder combo kit that seems to be sold by everyone everywhere. Its averaging about 200 bucks the booster is a gold color in the photos. Seems semi generic and maybe made in china. IS IT GOOD QUALITY AND RELIABLE? If u don't know what I'm talking about I can post a link. If it's junk what are my other options. Thanks

That's a very vague question your askin without a brand name, picture or anything other description. Where do you see this?

Are you referring to this one....

This one I saw. There's another one on ebay which looks very similar for about half the price. I suspect classic industries is reselling the same one just maybe slightly modified(they mention specifically it's for front discs w rear drums?). I do plan to put front discs and curious what would be different about MC in diSC vs drum. Here's the one on ebay for half the price as classic ind. And it says for either disc or drum.

I'm dealing with the same issue my previous owner put a ssbc disc brake kit in the front and is using the original power brake booster with a disc / drum master cylinder on it but I definitely don't have good enough brakes I could use some help with this issue as well he doesn't have a proportioning valve in it and that was going to be my next step

I'm dealing with the same issue with my 66 satellite previous owner put an ssbc disc brake kit in the front and used a disc / drum master cylinder on the original booster and my brakes aren't very good either I was going to put a proportioning valve in which I think he was supposed to do and didn't that would be my next step but I could use some help on this issue too

Maybe I'm wrong but I think 64 and 66 are different firewall configuration/mount. Also the kits Im talking about come with boosters

This one is by The Right Stuff. By the looks of others I have seen, they all appear very similar and are probably are the same. I cannot speak about how well it performs as my car is a long ways from road worthy but my biggest gripe with it is the large offset bracket that mounts between the booster and firewall. It looks hideous and sets the master out over the shock tower. I did not want to have it look like this so I ended up buying a different firewall plate and did some modifications. By eliminating the offset bracket, it changes the pedal linkage geometry but there is a swivel type linkage available that can be made to work. Also, the studs in the back of the booster are not a direct fit through the firewall so you need to work some magic with the die grinder.... but it will work.

It’s like most “cheap” aftermarket stuff. It works, but gotta be creative to make it what you want.

Thanks for the helpful insight

A friend of mine also put one on his charger and eliminated the bracket as well.....

More or less my question was "is it all the same Chinese garbage." Sounds like it probably is. I don't really care I'll probably buy it anyway since it's the only real option. I don't necessarily mind doing modification and quality control myself it it saves me money. What do I need to do on the eBay one to make it work well for front disk brakes?

There's a guy on YouTube that's very helpful and knowledgeable as well and he sells boosters and such for Mopars I can't think of his name right now but he'll probably come up if you Google or YouTube search Mopar brakes or B body power brakes
