Victor 440 intake

The roof of the runners is probably not high enough. That's usually the case with most intakes. You either get a max wedge intake or you weld the tops of the runners.

Super vic is standard or max wedge but is 4500 carb . If you buy stock port the super will open up to max wedge , that is what i did .
Andy F does a nice adapter plate to run 4150 on a 4500 if i remember correctly .

Okay here is an update on a Victor 440 I am going to buy a Victor 440 leave my performer RPM heads on my motor on till my Victor heads are totally all done then this way I can just do the weekend swap thing

I have a super Victor mw I'm not going to use 4500 flange pm me if interested

Like I said before I already have that intake with a dominator carburetor I wanted to buy a 4150 series intake so I can try my thousand CFM HP carburetor and see if that makes any difference if it's better or worse that's why I want to different manifold but I already have the max wedge super Victor with the Dominator

Hey James, have you thought about bolting up one of the adapter plates, cheaper than buying another intake.

Not apples to apples compassion but on my car I had a Indy intake mw with ez-1 heads manifold was 4150 I ran a dominator carb , switched to a 1000 and ran a 10:16 carb was very rich switched back to dominator and went 10:13

You can buy 4150 baseplates with oblong mounting holes that can be used on either 4150 or 4500 manifolds.

Swap between a 4500 and 4150 carb easily, and without any adapter......... on a 4500 manifold.

Before I ported my INDY EZ Standard Port Heads and before I purchased an INDY Max Wedge Dominator Single Plane intake for my Holley Dominator Carb I bought an HVH (High Volume Heads) 2" tall TAPERED spacer/adapter to put the Holley Dominator Carb on to my Victor 440 Intake Manifold.
The Coronet ran 3/10's second faster (10.90 to 10.60) ET with the Dominator Carb using the HVH Adapter on the 440 Victor Intake over the 850CFM Holley bolted onto the 440 Victor Intake
I then replaced the tapered HVH 4150 to 4500 adapter with a TransDapt OPEN spacer (not with 4 tapered holes). The TransDapt open spacer ran 3/100ths slower than the HVH tapered spacer. Obviously I switched back to the HVH tapered 4150 to 4500 spacer adapter.
A few weeks later I had my standard port EZ heads brought out to Max Wedge size and ported to flow 340cfm (from 290CFM). I sold the HVH 4150/4500 adapter, sold the Victor 440 Intake and bought an INDY Max Wedge Dominator Single Plane intake manifold. The 10.60 ET then dropped to 10.30 ET.
I then dropped a final 100lbs out of the car, sold my 1 7/8 Hooker Headers and installed 2" Dougs (with 3.5" collectors), installed my new Torqueflite with a transbrake, installed new Hoosier stiff sidewall bias ply slicks all which produced a final reduction in ET to a personal best for the car of 10.04

☝️☝️Good info.! Thanks for sharing!

2891 is a dominator flange, rpm port, 2893 is dom flange, max wedge port.

This is true, but both of these Edelbrock super victor intakes have the same part # cast on the outside of the intake runner. I only know, bc I just purchased the MW 4500 flange Edelbrock super victor #2893 and its clearly cast with part #2891.
