Dear all, I'm delighted to join this forum. I've come on here to gain knowledge of the car I am looking to buy next year, a 1968 manual 440 Charger.

I have been searching for something special to take and keep out in Almeria in Spain (where they made the movie 'The Good The Bad and the Ugly' and many more spaghetti western movies.

It's the only desert area in western Europe. I really liked the roadkill version charger. So I will try and get a very sound Charger, but I wont care about straight panels etc, or matching numbers. I'll only care that it's 1. Not been crashed, 2 not stolen, 3 is sound structurally and mechanically.

I think the Charger from what I've heard can handle desert off road - ish types of terrain.
I love the look of it, and the sound is savage.

Thanks for the welcome. Yeah they get snapped up pretty quick from what I see. I'm hoping that the fact I'm not after a perfect panel car will mean the market is a bit more open, I guess I'll see.

good luck with the 68 Charger quest

Welcome !
I am glad to hear that you plan on keeping it in Spain. British roads are not fun with a big American muscle car. I was over in the UK for 3 weeks and I was wishing the rental car was a bit smaller (MB300).
