I've got manifold and carb.
Is there a list of what other parts I need?

Like kick down linkage (727 trans), throttle cables, etc...?

You might want to get one of these. Makes it easy to hook up throttle cable and kick down.

i hope your replacing the cam , just putting a bigger carb won't do it, and exhaust helps but usually people run duels already

The change was made before I got car from my Step-Father.
Cam was replaced, block redone, higher compression.

Now, I am trying to correct (finish) the job.

Thanks for inputs!

do you know what cam was put in? stock or aftermarket. jetting can be a issue on carb

Let's just say that the engine is strong as heck and does run.
So what's the problem?
The linkage is screwed up but engine is fine. A modified 2bbl linkage on a 4bbl setup using baling wire.
Up shifts occur at the same time no matter of gas pedal position.
No down shifts except at low speeds or stop.
Baling wire breaking at the wrong time.

Just trying to correct the problem.
