anyone know where I can find a small set of flex sockets without emptying my pay pal acct.?

eBay.
I’ve bought 3 sets in the last year.
Craftsman USA made, 70’s vintage, in the case, clean used sets.

I paid 50 bucks a set average on the 3 sets

If you're looking for impacts, you can't go wrong with Grey Pneumatic.

found the one socket for sale on Zoro.com. X-mass has left me a scrooge. Anyway, a good site to know. Dave

^^Go the extra $$$ for the impact like these.^^ The ball design is much better for tight places and smoothness of operation.
bought a set but it didn't do the job. going to try regular swivel sockets. upside I get to buy more tools! Ha!

Universals should be good ones. They will break and you will want warranty.

maybe I should approach this a different way. I'm trying to space the starter on a 440 in a 63 B body. the top mounting bolt is impossible to get on without removing the dr side exh man (magnum) and dropping the head pipe off the man. I'm unable to do it myself and want to avoid asking one of my sons for help. they are always there for me but I realize they have families and jobs of their own. anyone been thru this before? the bolt just needs loosening so I can pry the starter away from the ring gear.

certainly worth a try, especially as the bolt only needs loosening. thanks Dave
