Zinc Galvanizing Rust Repair

I've never done this or heard of this technology before, but I am familiar with zinc & zinc coatings.
a) the area must be blasted to bare metal (just like they mention)
b) zinc is "self-sacrificing" & prevents steel/iron from rusting by sacrificing itself. Basically, the zinc will very slowly dissolve & any steel/iron in contact with it won't rust. Boats use blocks of zinc with ground cables between them for this same reason.
c) paint does not stick well to zinc, so this repair sounds really good under the car, but probably not good in an area you need to paint later. It might be OK under a vinyl roof, but not on a fender.

I think you'd be further ahead with lead than zinc.

And let's not forget welding galvanized is dangerous. Zinc oxide fumes are not good.
