So I've unwrapped and now restoring my 68 'X dash wire harness with fresh wires from a donor harness. I've been perplexed by the 4 brown wires near the ignition switch / wiper switch / washer switch.
So I explored some and found that 2 of the 4 brown wires in question (some with white stripes) were simply a short jumper wire but all wrapped up in the harness at that same point.
Two of the Br wires are clearly for the washer motor/switch, but still don't understand what the short jumper was for?
What am I missing, is this for a 3 speed wiper motor.
See pix below showing the short jump pulled from the harness!
