Like a lot of fellow members, could write an entire book on the resto journey. Tinkering for years and years on my '63 Plymouth, then decided two years ago to let work be done (motor rebuild, body work) so I wouldn't keep tinkering my life away on my car before I drop before my car would be pretty much as I wanted it. Regrets with some work done causing me hours of redoing, and happy with other work done. Lot's of money and time. Still not done, finding more **** to do and working on it now over winter. Like never quite satisfied. Then what? Will I get close to the amount of cash dropped if I'd sell? Nada. It's like creating your own personal dream and can say you did it. Two major car resto's in my life and that's enough. Time for cruising.

Emotional... is the best I can do.

Sometimes it's happy.. sometimes it's sad.. sometimes it's pissed off... and that's just the car!

I vote finished . I've done absolutely everything plus a bunch of nice upgrades .... minus body/ paint. Complete drivetrain, brakes, electrical, interior, suspension, blah blah blah...I won't do the body because I drive mine a lot, yes even in the rain. My car is for my enjoyment not for others !

Need more pictures of the 68 Bee.

My car will always be "in progress", as there's always something or other that needs to be addressed. I'll never be able to afford to do a complete strip down/restoration with paint and body work. I'm hoping to get the trunk floor replaced and maybe some frame rail repairs where they've rusted from the inside in a couple of spots in a few years. I drive it about 1500 miles a year to cruise in's and to work once in a while now though. I've redone the whole suspension, put in a strange s-60 and replaced the 727 with a tko-600, redid the whole fuel system and converted to Holley Sniper EFI last year. I expect I could probably daily drive it. Kind of worried about those couple spots on the frame rails though...scared how much that's going to cost since that kind of work isn't something I'll be able to do myself and it's probably worse than it looks. I sure do love cruising her around when I get the chance though.

Unrestored driver

My roadrunner is a driver. It’ll be my work in progress for many years to come. I’ve spent the last year on the interior. This year will be pulling the engine\trans and working on it. No rhyme or reason just what I’m doing.

6 years and 525 + passes. But it hasn't made it into the 8s yet. So yes in progress.

I wish it was a real bee .. it's a factory 318 coronet 440 ... previous owner dropped a 383 in it and put a power bulge hood and bee stripe on it. I'm dying to remove the stripe but I'm afraid of what will happen to the **** paint job underneath ! I'll get brave, or stupid one day

Real Bee or not, still a great looking car.

The struggle continues... The Express has progressed a good bit and is still coming along. Just like everyone else, money is an ever present issue. Fabrication goes on, since I cant buy many things I make them. Shift linkage set up is going on right now. Parking brake and cables are next. After that, I think I have done everything I can before painting needs to occur. So Ill be disassembling everything to paint it all. Do the body work. Then on to assembly. Fingers crossed.

We could do a thread on just what you call your car when she's being nice or hard to get along with, etc.

We all know most are never "done"
I'm still trying to find the right fuel & timing curves.
Being a dual useage street & strip makes it a little more interesting.Went 9.3 through the mufflers choking @ 6 lbs.Installed dumpers and the goal is 8.50,,,my legal limit.
