I already have my electric temp gauge, volt meter, and air/fuel ratio guage’s 12v source coming from the accessory terminal on the back of the fuse box. Not sure I should add another draw to that source. Another good “run” source?

I also want to change my carb for another one with electric choke so curious on your question as well.
Not sure how much an electric choke pulls amps wise, those gauges will be a low load though.
If it will be too much the fuse will burn out, indicating it cannot handle it.
There are more optional sources on the fuse box though.
I disconnected my cigar lighter so thinking of adding mine on that one, or run a fused wire from the IGN side of the voltage regulator spade. (i have an alternator with internal voltage regulator so that connection is not in use anyway)

Upon advice from Nacho,I spliced into the engine harness and taped on to the blue wire going to the alternator.I used a factory style plastic female push on.Looks and works like Ma Mopar sent it that way.

I use the input side of the ballast resistor and a piggyback terminal...

to find the input side of the ballast, disconnect both wires to the resistor, then turn the key to the "On" position, then get a test light and connect the clip to the negative side of the battery and poke the pointy side into the clips for the ballast resistor wires... The one that lights up is the input side...
