My 69 charger

Well did some more work trying to save my front fenders The plate behind the headlights was really rusted badly so tried my skill and patients rebuilding it and making sure it all goes back to its original position next will be that brace that is in the middle of the fender over the wheel. That for some reason some one took them out if successful l will do the other fender also

You did an amazing job on this one sir.....super good.

Well here's a few more pictures and yes l decided to replace both corners. Cut the whole rear valance off behind where the bumper hides the bad braze seam they did. lt also was 1/2 an inch up too high so had to make like a spacer joint to remount the valance. Putting the corners on first showed me this error in the valance. Also the fender brace that was made by on of our members fit well and so l welded them in. They were taken out for some dumb reason. Rite now l'm on hold cause can't get my trike sold so funds are shor and my garage is very cold

Well engine is in the machine shop. Trans rebuilt and am waiting for a few other things then l will go full boar on her again. l will post pictures of the engine when l get it back from the machine shop. Took some doing to get the corners on and matched up to the quarters. As you can see from the photos of the rear valance it was about 1/2" too high and had to cut and reweld it. Corse if you look close at the photo you can see that they brazed it on. Hence the reason to cut it off and reweld it where it needed to go. l have some more pictures l'll try to post

Well after getting the spindles rotors and calipers mounted l put her back on her wheels and then rolled her out of the garage for the first time in about a year since l purchased her. Still have to install calipers master cylinder and lines for the front Then l should be able to start bleeding the system. Here's a couple pictures of her sitting on all four. Any one interested in a pair of spindles with everything just incase ya mite need them

Maybe I missed it before but give us some details on the motor plz. I'm hoping to build myself another one soon so I'm schooling up. Nice progress. I've felt that excitement myself., you probably dream about it also, ha

The engine is a numbers matching and also the trans. When l first go the car l did get I running for about 30 seconds at a time filling the float bole each time. A neighbor said to just change fluids and go with it. WONG l decided to tear the engine down and found the thrust bearing was out of it slug in the pan about an inch thick after draining the pan. then the fuel pump was bad but that is kinda expected for a fifty year old car that had been sitting for about 35 years. Timing chain was wore out, and one lifter was a little worn. The crank was ruined so l had to find another crank for it. Cost me 100 but it was worth it. Both ends of the exhaust manifolds were broken so l am either going to go with Hedman Headers or find a set of stock manifolds. Really leaning towards the headers though.

Today l installed the crank, pistons, cam and timing chain. Everything went together well crank caps torqued at 85 lbs, rod caps torqued at 45 lbs. Spent the rest of the day cleaning the oil pan, timing chain cover. Tomorrow l will maybe put the heads on. Ordered a few more parts through Carid pushrod for fuel pump, trans cooler lines, tie rod ends and sleeves, and a new parking brake cable. Can't wait for the big brown truck to come by. Slowly but surely this girl will soon be running

Today the big brown truck came by and l got some more parts. l installed my Tyrod ends and sleeves. l found the old ones were bent. Next is to get back on the engine and get her done and painted and ready to install back in the car

Well got a little more done today installed the oil pump timing chain cover, oil pan, then l set the heads on, not torqued yet. Things are starting to come together.

Well hopefully things work out good for me. Found a sweet deal on gregs-list. A edelbrock maninfold and carb still in the shipping bag, headers, and a whole bunch of other new parts for a big block. Getting it all for a song and a dance (l dance really good lol) What parts l won't need l'll sell and gain back what l spent. l'll have pictures monday if all goes to hoil. MAN IS THIS A SWEET DEAL.
