So, been looking for project car to work on, asked the wife what body style she likes, (b-body) of course, so I am showing her the different models, chargers, roadrunners, etc, etc, i told her to ignore wing cars lol, so she finally says, i like this one the best, fml, she points to a 70 roadrunner, sorry i asked her opinion now lol.

Seems to be you lucked out. Roadrunners seem to be on the lower end of price range over the Chargers and GTX's and of course the wing cars. I own a 68 Runner and they seem to be the most plentiful of the bunch as far as car types go. Your lucky she didn't point to a Charger.....they are worth gold right now. Plus you could always do a 70 satellite up and clone a Runner to save some cash.

What's wrong with a 70 RR (except perhaps the price)?

Yea... I’m not seeing the problem here.

I agree, if your just wanting a cool driver a Satellite would be a great option for keeping cost down.

Your wife has great taste....and all car wives should be able to have a car for themselves.
After lots of years of doing this hobby, and my wife being so fantastic about it.....I asked her what kinda car SHE wanted for herself. She wanted what we all had for beaters, back when we were kids. It's very cool, and gets more attention than my junk. I've got it looking pretty good, but gonna do the 401/727 thing to it. She hasn't driven it in a few years.

They are one sweet looking ride IMHO...

Her choice was fine, she does have good taste, she should have been the first wife then I would still have my 70rr I bought in 1976 lol,

need to point out that she is british and lucky she didn't want a black taxi lol

I've had my 70 340 swinger for a while now, decided to buy a car for my wife and daughter to ride in and me and my son would be in the dart. Picked up my 68 coronet, once it was road worthy she took it out a few times and said no thank you it's too big ! She wants a 71 demon, I could do that !

.....or a jag!

I like many Roadrunners, but I have to agree with your wife on this one, 70 is the best IMO. Those park lamps and BU lights push it up a little over the 68-69's for me, actually the whole grille and rear stance. Lefty71

My wife couldn’t give two shits about my car or any cars for that matter. Trust me, you’re a lucky guy!

Still looking for a clean and affordable 65 Barracuda for my wife.

following options are a big plus-

V8

Red

floor shift (manual trans OK)

power steering

A/C
