65 Belvedere 2 trim &paint

On a black on black Belvedere 2 what would be the choice of color for the painted part of the wide molding that runs down the side of the car and is there somewhere to find out the options for the color of this trim.

Trim Color

The 65 Belvedere side trim could be one of three colors - red, white or black. I have seen white trim on cars with black interior so it doesn't seem like there are any particular 'rules' for the color combinations. Other than some possible combinations that would look awful, pick the color that you like best and would not be a style nightmare for your car. I can't imagine having red trim on my copper 65 but you can never say never about possible factory builds.

Mine are white on my Belvedere ,and the car is medium red

As a follow-up, what color silver was the center of the molding? I see so many with the black or red stripe and the outside is polished chrome but the center is painted with some type of silver or gray.

I've got several sets and a few extra oddball pieces of the 2 dr H/T side trim...Most I have were the white and there are some black...Only ever had one set of red and they were for the fenders only...the silver ones I have look like they were painted and not factory...I also have a set of tail panel trim in silver but they look factory...
I don't know...black on black car the silver might be okay...
Plan for my 65 was to paint it the 08-12 or whatever burnt orange Dodge used (Go Mango?) with a black vinyl top and black inlay in the side trim...actually debated using vinyl for a nice matte finish...Kicked around a gold-ish chrome look too but nothing definite...
