On a 70 GTX taillight bezel, the tail panel part gets painted black. The part closest to the lense, is that light or dark argent?

I "believe" that the tail light covers are painted the same as the center of the tail panel on a '70 GTX

Yes, the part that touches the tail panel... but the part that goes toward the lense is argent... I think

OK, I was totally wrong & it looks like MoparBill is correct

I would go with light argent....whether or not that is correct....I am not positive. I assume your surrounds are chromed also.....the bead only should show the chrome on a GTX.
Flat or Matt black on the surrounds to match the rear panel as well.....not gloss.

Yes, they are gtx bezel with a slim bead of chrome... I will repaint the black when I do the tail panel and hood stripes.... I'll go with light argent from Herb's.... thank you!

@MoparBill ...had the opportunity to look at my old GTX again today. I can confirm that the lighter argent is the way to go. My painter (world renowned car restoration and paint specialist) says it should be the same paint as used on the likes of a '68 or '69 GTX tail panel piece.
His words -
....There are a few variations of Argent silver, but you have to say it's more light than Dark. It is a very coarse metal flake metallic - the paint you get from Year One and all the other paint supplies in the States are all wrong. I have had it and it does not look the same. You have to make it up yourself out of House of Kolor metal flake and silver base coats

There you go. BTW...I bought a pint of 'FC7' from California over 20 years ago.....nothing like the real thing. Good for painting the mailbox or something...but not a MoPar. :D

Pics to back up the statements...
