I grew up reading magazines and still enjoy them. My Dad was a new car salesman and I got to see the new vehicles up close for many years. The magazine articles on them were a fun read for me.
I recall Motor Trend, Car and Driver but also likes Car Craft and Hot Rod. For awhile I was into 4 wheel drives. I recall Four Wheeler and two others...Pickup, Van and 4wd, the latter no longer in production.
I thought I remembered there was a 3rd big name, something like 4 wheel and Off Road?
What other popular magazines from the 70s and 80s are no longer being printed?
I remember:
High Performance Mopar
Popular Hot Rodding
Cracked
Thats all so far...What do you recall ?

Hit Parader and Creem used to be big back in the day.

Mopar Muscle (?)
not sure, I know the forum died

I haven't got any rags for well over a decade, probably 2
I quit subscribing in the early 90's

MoPerformance Magazine. Back in the late 80's or early 90's, my friend's girlfriend appeared on the cover, nicely dressed in white, with her '69 340 4 speed Cuda. It was an AMC Plum color. I think I supplied a piece of an old Duster roof to patch the quarter before it got painted. Good friends, really cool car. I hear it is still around here. I miss those days a bit.

30 rounders in a lot of states! Oh wait, wrong topic.
Cartoons!

Glad to hear MOPAR ACTION is still around, I subscribed just before Christmas and am still waiting for my first issue. They actually show cool tech stuff, not just “bolt these aftermarket parts on” articles. Pretty much any mag that has
Richard Ehrenberg on board gets my business.
For non car mags, National Lampoon was amazing, heady stuff in the mid and late ‘70’s. Then it went into frat style humour and the rest is history.

Is this just about car magazines or can I post the “adult” literature?

I figure ANY magazine is fair game! Car Toons? Heck yeah!

I remember the moperformance lawsuit in 1990. Chrysler killed that magazine.
