Seeing OE jacks are so expensive was wondering if anyone is using the slotted jack pads for the floor jacks on ebay.

I'm not sure what ebay jacks you are talking about. If you need a jack & don't have the cash for a '68 Charger jack (understandable), then maybe look for a salvage yard jack from a '94+ Mustang? Looks nothing like a Mopar jack, but light, small, very strong & very cheap.

You're not going to use a bumper jack or that J bar! I always carry a cheap sissor jack or trolley jack, and a lug nut tee bar, strapped in good in the trunk.

Sorry I saw these to use as an adaptor for my floor jack.

I still jack on the frame rails on the older cars, but man these are nice for the newer cars for sure! Looks like it fits the pinch weld nice!

I always use a hockey puck on my floor jack, just as a pad between the jack and the frame. On one of my older cars where I had to jack from a pinch weld (as shown in the pic above), I epoxied two together and then cut a relief for the the pinch. Worked perfectly. Plus the hockey pucks are super cheap...but hard to come by in Florida...I had to mail order from amazon.

Not sure that pinch weld is a good area to lift an older Mopar. Seen in another post doing so bent the lift area just changing a tire.

Ah.. okay, I just went to the dollar store and bought 4 hockey pucks for 4 bucks to use on my lift with the newer stuff that uses pinch welds to lift. You don't even need to cut the slot. That said you DO NOT want to be lifting your B Body from pinch welds. Frame or axles only.

With the price of a 68-70 Charger bumper jack being gold plated plus something I would never use on my re-chromed bumpers, I opted for a screw jack I confiscated from my daughters Jeep Grand Cherokee after it was totaled. It will work if I ever need it which I hope I never do. Can't remember the last flat tire I had. Thank God we are not still back in the days when 3 spares were not enough for a 100 mile trip.
