Is there anyone in the SF Bay area currently with a 68-69 roadrunner, satellite, belvedere, or GTX? I want to see if I can find anyone in this area who will let me take photos and measurements of yours, specifically looking for how the unidbody is welded together. My 68 roadrunner is a huge project and I wanted to see about getting as many pictures and measurements as a I can. I appreciate any and all help. I'm located in San Lorenzo. Thanks guys!

The service manual provides those measurements with diagrams....

You can also search the restoration forum here as well....There are several builds there with pictures.....Then you can pm those members and see what they can help you with....

I know everybody's really helpful I was just hoping to be able to go in see one in person and hopefully get even more inspired to get my butt in gear and start getting this thing figured out. that is once I start getting paid again by the government because right now I'm working but not getting paid. Lol

I do understand of your search for one in person....just was offering advice if you were unaware....

I’ve got a 69 in a body shop in San Jose near the airport that is getting near the end of its body resto. Send me a PM and I can arrange a visit and a photo shoot if your interested.

Where? Tell us more. Any pictures? I’d like to visit too.

I don’t want to hijack the thread. The shop is CS Restorations @ 953 Chestnut St. San Jose. Jerry and his son Craig are 2 of the most detail minded and communicative folks I have met in my 59years. I stop in once a week or so and we go over the plan and activity for the car. They are not a high volume shop. I don’t have the time, experience or the logistic support to do most of what our forum members do with their rides. I depend on experts in their particular trades to get me where I want. Just like in construction, I won’t do drywall or carpets- that’s the first thing people will notice. I’ve got lots of pics but am unclear as to forum etiquette. I didn’t think too many folks would be interested in my project since most of the work is being done by others. I can pontificate all night long about this project- maybe I’ll throw a feeler thread out there and see if there is any interest.
For those of you who don’t have the mad skills of some of these folks like Justin and live in CA, stop by and talk to Jerry or Craig. I’ve been around a lot of body shops, these guys are the real deal.
Cheers,
Mike
