Does anyone know of a mirror or mirror glass to replace the one I have on my 1968 GTX Passenger Mirror. One of thoses "Everything is further away that it appears" type mirror that you actually see something in. This is the mirror type I have. I have checked with Classic and Tony's with no luck.

This may be a long shot, but O'Reilly carries a huge selection of replacement mirror glass. Maybe measure the diameter & try to match it up? Their mirrors are usually scrambled & you'll have to hunt through them. I "suspect" you would need to find one close & cut the mirror glass...maybe a glass shop could do it well?

Regular mirror has too much reflective qualities....and blinding. When I worked at the glass-shop, we used Redi-cuts.

I'd say this is your mirror.....
68 Dodge. Coronet or Charger.

The mirror I have is not broken, just wanted to find one that has the wider field of view.

Was that mirror an option on the 68 X? I don’t have one on mine......

I believe it was an option on the '68, but don't quote me on that. Just driver manual was standard and options were adjustable driver and non-adjustable passenger mirror (available as separate options I "think"). I don't think the "sport mirrors" came out that early.

The thing that was NOT available is the "wide angle" glass (like newer cars), so the replacement has got to be "some kind" of custom piece.
