I’m selling or giving away
(yes FREE!!!) a 1977/78 Monaco Ex Phoenix PD vehicle
It originally was a 360 2bbl and the transmission is still in the car as is the 8 1/4(?) rear end.
Unfortunately the PO was in the process of “Restoring” the car and did like so many and started disassembling the car. The dashboard is there and some of the vents and the wiring but is missing the certified speedometer. Of course he passed away and much has been lost.

It should be looked at as a parts car but could be restored as it has very little rust.
It seems to have a bunch of really good parts and these old cars are extremely hard to find parts for especially police cars.
As far as I know everything police specifically is gone.
The car has no title and the price reflects that.

$ 450 if you want the full set of cop car wheels and center caps and front disc break setup and spindles.

$ 250 if I keep the front disc brakes and spindles and you want the wheels.

$ FREE If I keep front disc/spindles and wheels.

These are negotiable prices of course. And if you are in the valley area I can deliver the car to you free if you are not too far.

Car is located in Queen Creek AZ

The front and rear sway bars have been removed.

Does it have a second "AHB" fender tag?

Fender tag is long gone unfortunately. This car was purchased from the Phoenix PD in 1999.
This car was included when I bought my 1978 Monaco Wagon.
I’m sure it did at least have the extra “Special Handling” tag like my wagon has.

I'm pretty sure that's the fender tag code for cop cars.

I see your's looks like a Lynch Road car (or the tags changed to look more like them)

...and I don't see the AHB code.

Is it WL45A?

Tags changed? You are joking right??? This car is an untouched original.
See the picture above the tag pic. These are the STATION WAGON TAGS.

No I'm not joking.

I meant the Mopar may have changed the fender tag design to be more like the Lynch Road tag design after the 1974 year. I'm not really up on post 74 tags.

Lynch Road tags have "gate sequences" along the top, rather than most of the individual options like other plant tags have.

If the car was built at Lynch Road, it would have an "A" as the 7th digit in the VIN.

I got you, anything after 74 is a little foreign to me but I am slowly learning.

So is the seventh digit of the VIN "A"?

Correct A. I cleaned it a little to see the numbers better

Any ideas about this tag? I’ve never seen one like it on anything else.
It’s what I would consider a “Paint Tag” but different then others I’ve seen or had. Again, it’s a 1978 so I’m fairly lost on much of it.

Interesting.

Lynch Road plant may explain why the AHB is not coded separately.

Thanks for humoring me.

Cool wagon. We have a 1976 Dodge Coronet Crestwood wagon with the original 'P' code 400HP non-catalyst in it. Same body style as your wagon, just some minor differences.
