Gonna be -37 tonight. Damn.

The National Weather Service is projecting an arctic blast to settle over Kansas City for the Chiefs' game against the New England Patriots. Temperatures at kickoff could range from 10 degrees to well below zero, with a possible -37° F wind chill, potentially making it the coldest game in Arrowhead Stadium history. Damn that's COLD! Go Chiefs!
We’ve reached that point in winter when a forecast of 23 degrees looks great.

Just days after meteorologists were saying an arctic blast would hit in time for Sunday’s AFC Championship Game between the Chiefs and Patriots at Arrowhead Stadium, the outlook has improved.

Forecasts had expected temperatures to be between zero and 10 degrees at kickoff, but now the National Weather Service is now calling for a high of 23 degrees and a low of 19 on Sunday. Heck, Accuweather.com sees a high of 28 with a low of 21.

Although there is a decline in prices, SeatGeek said tickets are more in-demand than any other event at Arrowhead Stadium since 2010. It’s well above the average price of $205 for the Rolling Stones/Ed Sheeran show in 2015, SeatGeek said.

TicketIQ said the cheapest available ticket has fallen from $257 on Tuesday to $185 on Thursday, which it noted is the “third-cheapest ‘get-in’ price for the AFC Championship this decade and indicating relative parity of ticket prices throughout the stadium.”

That could explain why Vivid Seats’ crowd projections show that 21 percent of the Arrowhead Stadium seats are expected be filled with Patriots fans.

Go Chiefs!

Been seeing this post decided to what it was about. Thought Sahara was whining about turning 37. -37 below zero IS something to whine about!

Balmy 77*F right now outside.

I almost had to wear a flannel shirt this morning.

Just east of US, it has been getting hit hard
getting lots of snow, was up at Dodge Ridge 5800ft,
crappy local ski resort, Sierra Cement snow, western exposure
but it was somewhat cooler & powdery
they got 17"s of fresh snow in a matter of a few 6-8 hrs
on top of several feet from the previous waves

it's sunny/partially cloudy today & 50* right now here

but;
hunker down boys, next wave is coming, lull in the storms
then another, possibly a 3rd wave, all heading east

High of 84 , low of 69 here in Kona, Big Island of Hawaii.
We do have snow on our mountian top.
What’s the economic situation and job market like there? I’m looking for my “retirement job” in a warmer climate.

35 for the high next week. Single digits over nights.

Not much else to say. That’s not rounded off to make it seem worse, not windchill, not “back in 1957 when I was a kid in Wisconsin”, but right here, right now.
Isnt that somewhat of a normal temp for Yellowknife this time of year?

Funny, I saw a snowy owl a few days ago, thats usually a sign that its really F-ing cold way up north, and will get cold here in a few days

All kinds of work , just not many Mopars.

+25*f here right now, going to -12*F Monday morning....not too bad for Vermont really....

I could probably bring a couple. Can you make money there? I’ve heard the wages are low and cost of living is high?
Good wages for good jobs. But yes cost of living is higher.

2 stroke old Toro & 24” self-propelled lined up facing driveway; whichever comes! Bring it on !!!

The chiefs are the strongest and more balanced team in the play off, for me they are the favorite to win the super bowl.
That's great to hear. Here we are waiting to see which Chief team shows up to play on Sunday. The Super Bowl team or the want to be team.

Same old thing.
1971 at Minot AFB. Helicopters launch at 5:45. -30+ wind chill around -55 below, then standing under the rotor blades at 40% power. Black outside as can be, Standing 30 feet from the taxiway as the B-52's taxied by. The wing tips were only 10 feet or less from me.,I couldn't see them, But I could sure hear them. Sun would come up around 9:30, down at 3:30.still-20 all day.
Feb 1971
Then God intervened, orders to Vietnam, then cancelled, then Howard AFB Canal Zone. 18 months of pure heaven.
Grand Forks AFB 75 at -58 wind chill. Everyone ran around with only eyes showing from Parkas. Air was to cold to breath if you uncovered your noise. Yes fun times.

Greetings mopar 3 B! On Week 6, the Chiefs played at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts and the score was Patriots 43, the Chiefs 40. This was when the Patriots were kinda/sorta beat up and the Chiefs' defense was dysfunctional. As the Patriots walked off the field that day, their mindset had to be, "Damn, we almost got out asses kicked by a f'ing rookie quarterback!" As the Chiefs walked off that field that day, their mindset was, "Hey, we can beat these guys!" Now this Sunday, it's the Chiefs turn to host Tom Brady, Gronk, Julian Edelman and the rest of the Patriots. Today, the Chiefs' NFL MVP "rookie" quarterback, his non-dysfunctional defense and his 12th man in the stadium will offer the Patriots their BIGGEST challenge this season. Even the Las Vegas betting odds favor a Kansas City AFC Championship win! Trust me, this will be a fun game to watch for Chiefs' fans!
