Can anyone yell me if there is a rubber/metal shield that attaches directly in front of the front tire? It would attach to the bottom of the fender headlamp bucket area down to the rear edge of the valance to keep mud/water off of the lower front turn signal. I have the front end apart on my 68 having the grill and bumpers done and it seems like something is missing here. I've called Detroit muscle technology and they say nothing goes here. The valance and fender both have holes that look like some thing would attach. I just found this picture of what appears to be something in front of the drivers tire on this 68, but

its hard to make out what it is.

There is a combination of both a metal shield and a masticated rubber seal that attaches to the metal shield to keep the area clean. The metal seals are reproduced by AMD and we did the rubber seals. The 70 Charger is a different profile.

ok, ill check AMD, but who does the rubber??

Yes there is an inner, front splash shield.. I can send pics of mine if you’d like

Thanks, but I found em from AMD. Still curious on 69bfans comment on doing the rubber seals that attach to this metal shield

Ill also ask now because it will come up when they arrive. what do they use for hardware??

The hardware is as I recall nothing but the typical J-nuts and body bolts. Maybe a 1/4x20, but would have to verify that. The rubber seals look like a number "7" with the longer leg sealing down the length of the splash shield and the side of the fender. The top of the "7" would seal the top of the seal to the top of the fender if that makes sense.

I bought the set of splash shield rubbers from Classic industries, has them all in one kit.

Just buy from Detroit Muscle or Dixie.. that's where classic gets them anyhow.. or possibly 69bfan!

Their is a shield mounted on the front of the fender, above the grille attachment bolts. Is this what you are looking for?

I have the ones at the top. I'm looking for the shields at the bottom. found them at AMD. I don't see any rubber on those, or see where it would even go.

Thanks for the pix. I'll have to look to see if I have those.

The ones I have I'm using on my 68 Charger but you can get then online at different places! I think AMD has them new!!
