anyone use aftermarket or upgraded seatbelts in their 68-70 b-bodies? Not racing harness’. Brand? Pics? Thanks

I was not satisfied with the ones in my 66 --to tired looking and not what I wanted. Soooo.... I ordered new black belt material and had them installed on the buckle's that are used on aircraft. (Just like when you jump on a American Airlines or Delta plane). I just like the looks of them better and have always thought about the simplicity.

I'm using 3pt retractable belts in my 68 coronet from seatbelt solutions. The webbing is a bit "soft", you can tell where the buckle rides on it. Other than that I like them.

Bought from Seatbeltsplus for 67.

They are fine except for one thing that disappointed me.
The plastic front seat housing are not colored plastic.
They are white plastic and dyed to match.
I could have done that.

Two other things to be aware of in the design.
The retract system is not like factory and contained.
It is a spring loaded chrome roller device that actually comes out of the plastic housing along with the side belt.
Also they should provide something that covers the bolts as part of the set like the factory.

I ordered belts for my Coronet over a year ago and still have not received them. Bill seems nice enough but was always making excuses why he was not finished. He always said he was working on them when I called. I gave up on getting any belts from him.

I will seek another vendor.

I feel your pain man, Bill does seem like a really nice guy who simply has waaaayyy too much on his plate. At 15 weeks I finally received a package from Bill only to find it was missing some important parts ( visor mounts, front seat mounts ).I called him and another week and I finally had all my seatbelts and parts.
I must add that the seat belts are PERFECT and look awesome. Bill told me he's had some real serious health issues so I can't be mad at him, especially with how good they look.

I have the aftermarket ones in my Bee. They look good and work fine. I can't remember where I ordered them from, but they're all about the same.
