Ouch....and I thought a -4 was bad....that’s nothing compared to you guys...

Stay warm and be safe my friends!

Luckily the house is keeping warm, although the furnace is running about constantly. I insulated all the windows with the shrink film and insulated my attic hatch yesterday seems to be working alright. I do have a draft coming through my front door on the side I tried to seal it up with foam tape both the storm door and main door but it isn’t helping, I gotta figure something out there.

Supposed to be heading to work soon, jace wants snuggle up on the couch to watch cartoons. Decisions decisions...

Grab a butter knife and some paper towels and push them into the gap.

My back door is like that, because of the stone foundation on the mud room, it heaves and messes with the door seal.
That’s a good idea didn’t think of that.

Was working on the car last night, in the driveway, in shorts and t-shirt... Sorry...

My house was built in 1955, no insulation apparently was put in back in those days I was told as oil was so cheap back then....but we still have the orig. cast iron radiators.

Over the last 23 years I replaced the orig. windows with vinyl windows, had 18" cellulose blown into the attic (I never go up in it) & replaced both doors.

We did have termite damage on some exterior walls and some entire walls needed to be rebuilt, so those wall got insulation but for most of the house the exterior wall are not insulated. The only saving grace is the house has siding with insulation which helps a bit.

Yeh....its -14 here. Gonna heat up the garage and try to work on my parking lamp......maybe
