Looking to buy a new transmission pan and wiper relay for my 74 Satellite and was wondering who online would have the most quality parts? Thanks.

If summit has what you’re looking for it’s hard to beat their prices and customer service

Both summit & jegs are good for basic parts....and of course, this website.

I agree summit is great both with prices, fast shipping, and pretty good customer service.
I also recommend mancini and bouchillon. Prices are a bit higher than summit, but the quality is also great.

Don't forget Rock Auto for bread and butter parts, and always a 5% discount.
Tim

As above..the only one i am missing is Classis Industries.
They are more for reproduction parts etc. if you are in to that.

Recently got a 727 pan with drain plug from Mancini and he beat Summit's price....and Wes still works there. Wouldn't hurt to ask if he still gives a discount for members of this site.

How is the quality of the pan? I've considered that pan, but it looks too chineseium.

I bought that same exact kind of pan and was skeptical as you are, only difference is I got the extra deep version. bought from eBay but it looks like the exact same product. when I bought it was $25 but they bumped up the price since. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mopar-Chry...2:g:irkAAOSwoVNaBdgr:rk:2:pf:1&frcectupt=true

It came in a bag with a sticker that read "MADE IN TAIWAN." I found the quality to be pretty good and didn't really have any specific issues. stamping is nice and lines are clean. I installed it the other day under a Mahle metal reinforced cork gasket. Pan fits good but its dripping a little. I tested it on a flat surface for straightness before install and it was sitting perfectly flush all around so I probably just have to tighten it up a bit more.

I do not think you will be able to find a reproduction wiper relay that is made in USA. Maybe new old stock (ebay). I bet the new ones available are made in China or Mexico. Check rock auto or local auto parts store for that. How much are you trying to splurge on the tranny pan? if you give budget maybe we can give more accurate recommendations.

there is no best place to order parts from.
you need to do plenty of research (ask on here at the least) and shopping around for specific items
as there are many price and quality variations out there for the same thing.

Mother mopar no longer makes oil or trans pans for my 360 in my plowtruck RAM.Rock auto or any others have the cheapo chin pans:mad:

No real budget on trans pan. Just want a good higher quality one. I mean I guess Id like to keep it under $100 but that is not a deal breaker. Same with wiper relay. Thanks for all the info so far, I appreciate it.

440source.com and most of their stuff is listed made in the USA. Competitively priced also!

I was still able to buy a new trans pan (727) from my local Chrysler dealer last year!
It was around $70.00 Canadian dollars. I would check with your local dealer, you never know...

It seems to be good quality and is also the deeper version. It ain't leaking either....

Bought a lot of stuff over the years from Wes, usually at some show location, Nats, Carlisle, Indy, etc.

Asked about a member discount over the phone one time, they basically laughed about it. Didn't happen.

Didn't even think to ask when I ordered the trans pan but many years ago, they did.....iirc lol

Well, to their credit, they did deliver my parts to the shows for free which saved me the shipping costs.
