B O R E D>> What plans do you have for car in the spring

Getting some brake issues sorted out - current thread posted. In December I got the FiTech EFI hopefully dialed in - finally. Coronet's been on the road for three years but haven't done a lot of driving. If the brakes cooperate this weekend then it's going to be a great spring.

I'm hoping that I can find a mopar to drive before spring.
Right now I am Mopar less

First thing first I gotta finish the timing case on the 12 valve Cummins so I can even move the charger. But after that’s out of the way I’m going to install the new( and correct this time) adapter plate for the carb, the new throttle cable. Hopefully that fixes the vaccuum issues and let’s it run a lot better. I’m going to pull the dash apart to paint the metal half and replace the pad, paint the rest of the plastic interior panels black to match the new pad and hopefully have the interior back together by late summer..

Clean her up and GO! Spring Fling, Mopar Alley, Bay Area Cruises. In Sept Dennis H and I are shipping our cars to New Orleans where Biomedtechguy (Steve) will graciously receive them for us until we fly in to experience "Cruisin the Coast". Then we will DRIVE them back to California!!!! Can't wait!

what are you looking for? price range?? I'm a fellow Jersey Boy...I'll keep a look out!

Looking for a 62-65 Plymouth B-body 2 door sedan [post car]
I am in Point Beach frequently as my brother has an auto repair shop there, On Point Automotive is the shop.

Sitting here, bored, and it's -4 degrees and a blizzard hit the area, so I'm not going anywhere. Just thinking of spring and what I have planned for the Dart I bought last fall.
I've bought a hemi scoop, front spoiler, buckets and console. Picked up a rear tail stripe and hood 408 stroker decal from a guy on FABO. Tail stripe is different from stock type and should look great, something like the picture. Hood decal is the diagonal one that sits on the front corner.
Picked up buckets for it for, drum roll please, $80 ..YEP 80 bucks for TWO beautiful bucket seats. I know it's very hard to believe but the guy threw them on CL to get them out of the way and I was the first to respond after they were on for 15 minutes, and snagged them. Right place right time. Also, what a jerk I am, when I went to pick them up his ad was for $100, I said "would you take $80". Man, sometimes I scare myself. He was building a race car and didn't need them. Will try to dye them black, if that doesn't work I'll get new covers. But they were a STEAL.
Also picked up a console from an e-body that I like better than the a-body console. I think I can make it fit the 4-speed shifter. Console door is missing so thinking of putting cup holders or a speaker in there.
Bought new 15x8 steelies for it and will be ordering new rubber, 255's for the rear, 205's for the front. Selling the slots so that's a push. Need to finish the exhaust from mufflers back. I have 3" over the rear end and tail pipes the previous owner gave me, but have the feeling they may not fit or he would have probably completed the exhaust. We'll see. Bought a cap for the dash pad, and with buckets, and console the interior is complete. Put gauges and tach in last year and cleaned up dash it and looks good.
You can tell I'm bored and rambling but I have a lot planned. Engine, trans. and rear on my little *** kicker were done when I bought it, cars a rocket.
So I'm looking forward to the vernal equinox :) .. What are you planning?

Why not get it all done as a winter project?

Did you see the black 65 coronet vert
With a 440 for sale on craigs
In point?
Asking 8k
Mighty tempting to check out and I'm not a early b guy

Some contemplations...got most of the car sorted out before winter.
Debating whether to drop down from 391's to 355 or even 323's. 451 stroker 500hp 4spd
Debating to swap the 15" rallyes for either body colored steelies or 17" year one rallyes
Need a new driveshaft made
Change the shifter mechanism
All of which can wait til spring
323 would work fine with that much power, imo

New 500 rocker trim with wheel well trim, can't wait!!

Had a couple of spots needing attention, just waiting for a little warmth to put her new coat on.

That Coronet vert has been for sale for a while. Nice looking in the pics.
But I still want a 62-65 Plymouth 2 door B-body sedan.

Start tacking on the miles:thumbsup:

I built it with reliability at the forefront so for the most part I just drive it. I do have a couple minor things to do before spring though, switch from 285's to 305 rears, replace the ugly rubber cover on the Grant wheel adapter with an aluminum one and fix the faulty horn button. This is the first winter since I finished the Charger that it's sat dormant for this long, it's either a rainy mess or there's salt on the road, getting very impatient!
