Anyone steer me to where to get these little white plastic pieces that are inside the door glass channels to keep the glass from rattling when closing the door?
It sounds like you're looking for window channel runs (aka window channel felts). They're not cheap. There's somebody on this site that sells them, both OEM & aftermarket.
Are you referring to the white nylon-plastic that is mounted in the lockside channel run bracket? If that is the part in question, I do not know a source of a reproduction part being available. If you can post a picture or a schematic of the location, that would be a good start.
The white plastic pieces inside the felt? The aftermarket ones suck. They are too thick. If I did not have the originals I would have had to sand the down to make them work. The typically come with the felt kits. I will have a set once I finish the Duster. The same felt and plastic parts are used on the rear flip out window.
The "H" pins as pictured above is used in the assembly with the mylar glass channel runs. You need both the mylar seals and two pairs of the "H" pins to to do the front leading edge of the door glass. Sometimes, the mylar seals have worn so bad that they have basically fallen apart only leaving the "H" pins attached to the glass.
You can purchase the mylar seals with the "H" pins included for $90 to $100 depending upon who purchase from. That will do both door glasses. Just sand down the edges of the reproduction "H" pins or reuse your originals if you still have them. Original mylar seals are bringing $300 to $600 per pair if you can even find them.
The mylar seals with the H pins were used on a variety of applications from 1966 through 1993. They were not used on the 71 to 74 B-Body applications. You will need both the mylar seals and the H pins to reduce part of the rattling in the door glass. Everything has to work as a unit. The lockside channel run, the door glass rivet with the roofing felt style material on the lift arm, the window felts and the mylar seals all working together to make for a door glass that does not rattle and most important the proper alignment of the door glass.
The lockside channel is the metal bracket with the flocked extrusion that is positioned at the back of the door frame that the door glass slides up and down in. If you should look into the cavity of the door, it will be the channel closest to the door latch and door handle mechanism. Now that I think about it, the post/sedan lockside channel does not include the nylon insert. The mylar liner and H pins as posted in post #14 is located on the front side of the door glass and fits into the vent window frame channel.
