So when I just want to browse the site, and not logged in, what's with the popup about activating cookies, and why is it just now showing up? It's annoying, can you fix this?

Shows up on FABO as well. I guess it's another perck of being signed in

Sorry, no. Its required by a law called the GDPR. I agree it's bullshit, but Google is requiring GDPR compliance or they will remove a site from the search index.

Cookies are like all the video cameras around now and serve as the computers "eyes". One cannot hide anymore, we are constantly under surveillance (and especially on our computers).

is there a way users can permanently accept the cookies with their IP address so that window doesn't appear everytime we visit the sites?
fwiw chocolate chip are the only cookies I voluntarily accept

I started reading about VPN and got lost. Apparently, it is a way to hide your ISP from evil doers

And what's GDPR stand for anyway? I've been having issues with Joey's site for over a year now with no answers, so don't feel bad.

So, if I go to fabo as a guest, and don't click on "accept" does that mean the cookies aren't tracking me?

GDPR is General Data Protection Regulation

Those cookie pop-ups are all over the web anymore.
I don't see most of them (running some nice blockers :)), but for the others I just run a cookie cleaner
before shutting down for the night.
Otherwise, I start seeing ads for stuff I was looking on Summit for when I'm on Facebook or some such. :)

Leave it to google to screw up something, there search engine is bs anyway, and totally slanted to what they think you should find!

...aaaand stay logged in!
