Been working on a 71 Sattelite.

Yes let me go grab a picture.. brb That was another thing that needed to be addressed.. The goofy hood scoop grafted to the hood. Anyhow here is the hood.

Fat bottom girls = 71 to 74 b body cars..
If its any consolation I dont like the 68 to 71 chevelles or their olds counterparts because of the fat *** appearance either. Just my opinion.

IMO, the scoop and the hood stripe need to go away.

I see holes for fender mounted turn signals? Is this a Sebring; and a factory 383? If so, then it might have come with front and rear sway (antiroll) bars. In any event, addition of aftermarket front and rear swaybars would be money well spent.
 
It is a 383 car. It needs alot of parts.. Mostly good interior stuff. He needs to take the car to a body shop. I can restore his dash while they are defucking the car. LOL sorry if cursing offends you. Just a funny word to describe the car.
 
I've got a satellite hood that he could do an air grabber.
edit; cheap too, its taking up room in my garage.

I told him those callouts may be a difficult thing to find. I found one in all of ebay. But a pair is needed and I told him they will probably be costly.
 
If the owner likes hood scoops, then he should get a regular Satellite hood and add a six pack scoop! Maybe add hood pins too!

The air grabber scoop is a great choice, but how expensive are they nowadays?
 
Well after I'm done with the dash it wont be my call. He can have it back and let someone else search for the unobtanium hardware. I actually found a complete car for him that was running and driving for 7500 bucks. Just needed paint and a little work on the seats. Which is stuff he was going to do to this car anyhow.

I agree but it matches the dash assembly... Luckily the guy is trying to remove some of the hideous stuff. Is there a puke emoji?

The only dash pad I could find that wasnt trashed was the one in the picture. The dash you see is improved from what was there. The cluster housing was butchered from an attempted radio install. The interior errr what there is of it is black. With limited resources for parts he gets what he can find.

So the dash pad is staying that color???
 
Well thats up to him It can be dyed black. But for now thats what he bought. Id dye it.
 
I understand about getting a nice dash pad... Leaving it that color is not helping that car....
