Hey everyone,i'm new to the forum and new to b bodies in general. I'm looking for a few odds and ends for a 64 Polara i just bought . What i'm after is the turned metal insert that goes into the trim on the Polara ,i assume it's a decal tape of some sort . Also needing the lens pieces that sit on top of the left and right fender [ i have no idea what to even call these ] . Lastly my rear tail light panel has the pitting in the rib area, has anyone had success with re chroming parts like this or has anyone built a cover panel for this area?. Who are some of your go-to companies for b body stuff?. Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you.

Welcome.

I have a 64 as well. Reproduction stuff is $$$, especially stainless trim and even finding some of that stuff you mention is tough. Post some wanted ads on here and someone will have something eventually.

And post some pics of your car

Some good sources for parts and info for the mid-60's B-bodies are Joe Suchy, [email protected] , Kramer Automotive Specialties, kramerauto.com , and Bill Petrow, Special T's Unlimited, Inc. Classic Industries has quite a bit for this era Mopar also, but a lot of parts are not reproduced at this time. Dukeboy is correct to post for the parts, as someone does have what you need...

Having restored '63 Plymouth, finding parts for this era Mopar is tougher than for the later 60's but as posted you will likely find most of what you're looking for. I've had some success here and there on eBay too. There are many links on this forum with great advice from members who've done resto work. Wish I had joined this forum sooner than I did; as the tips have been huge! And every so often I've been able to make a contribution too.

Welcome first off good to see another 64 we have a sponsor on this forum that deals with 62-65 mopars check him out. You want the mellidions for both front fender I got mine from Kramer's. Good stuff. Cost some bucks but nice.

Special t’s unlimited was the Polara 500 side trim inserts in their catalog. Unknown price.
I have a call into Bill now ,waiting to hear back on price. Thanks for the heads up on this, i thought i was going to have to make it myself.

From a fellow 64 owner, welcome to the site, and please post some pics. Plenty of good knowledgeable people here. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Bills stuff is nice, but it's not cheap. He works out of his garage behind his house he's a talented guy.

Bill got back to me on the pricing ,real nice guy but I bet that house he works behind is pretty damn big.lol.

It’s a sticker that goes on the trim.

Top fender medallion is on eBay.

Rear tail light panel is not reproduced, so best to use steel wool and clean it as best you can and paint it silver cause you will spend your entire 401k getting it redone.
