Recently I watched Den of Thieves, pretty good movie, and the shootout scene at the end reminded me of the one in Heat with Al Pachino when they robbed the bank. So, I have had to update my top movie shootout list for non war movies to now included Den of Thieves along with

Heat (Bank Robbery Shootout)
Smokin' Aces (Hotel Shootout)
Django Unchained (Candyland Shootout)
The Kingsman Secret Service (Church Shootout/fight)
Crank and Crank High Voltage (ending scene Shootouts)
Badboys II (Haitian shootout)
Miami Vice (Deal Shootout)
Hitman(Gun Deal Shootout)

What do you think are the best movie shootouts?

The Professional. Such a variety of awesome rifles.
Ronin. SIG rifles....hell yea!!

I never watched it, never will!^^^^^

I just watched Den Of Thieves myself, it's like a modern version of Heat. Both great movies, looks like Den will have a sequel. Wind River was also good.

So sorry
In case you guys missed it...

1953, Movie of the year
SHANE VS Wilson

Alan Ladd is Shane
Jack Palance is Wilson

This is "Old School", not that silly CRAP of shooting your gun sideways like these Tide Pod eating kids of today think a gunfight is all about.
Give it a minute for the You Tube "advertisement"to pass...

I'd say top five in no particular order:

Heat - bank robbery scene
The Wild Bunch - final shootout (well, pretty much the entire movie...)
The Way of the Gun - final shootout
Collateral - club shootout scene
The Good the Bad and the Ugly - final shootout

Honorable mention: The Road to Perdition - shootout in the rain (really one sided, but a very powerful scene).

Heat was awesome putting it mildly. Reminded me of the North Hollywood real deal back a few years out here in CA

What about that bruce willis movie with the twin 1911's.

Yeah, that was friggin’ good!

That would be ''Last Man Standing''.
Shooting/emptying (16 rounds) with a pair of .45 Auto in each hand and hitting your mark is a awesome feat. You need a death grip on the grips and strong wrists.
Edit; I should add, and two good eyes for point and squeeze.

I don't suppose the John Wick series deserves mention here?
I don't think much of Reeves as an actor, but that's actually him in the action scenes
and the gunplay is based on tons of tactical training - he's actually a very good shot.
