I was told to use a slide hammer on this. I made a pathetic attempt. Can anyone help?

I fixed a Duster fender like that once. Took the fender off and used a long 3/8" extension to knock it out from the rear.

There is an attachment that grabs multiple pins, you can try and use that. Then with a torch, heat the curled part before you pull.

You're going to want to tack a plate/plates on that front edge so you can pull on the several points at once. The bumper pushed it in almost like a forming die. Heat the tight creases first. It's going to take a little time. I'm thinking a combination of a plate on the edges so you can attach a porta-power or come-along and the pins in those deep spots.

Had a fender similar to that on a 72. We Used a porta power with a clamp bolted on the leading edge. Chained the car down, heated it up and pulled it out to where it was almost perfect. You will never get that out with a stud gun puller. It is a very strong area...

That fender needs to come apart for access. That is seriously strong, and cannot be repaired right without drilling it apart for access.
