Hey I’m looking to potentially buy hey 1970 front bumper for my satellite and I was wondering if anybody knows about how much it weighs. Also what would be the best way to ship something like that? Thanks Moparfeind
Ho did you ship it? What packing did you do?I just shipped a 69 Coronet Bumper yesterday. Surprised at the cost. Only $33 from Pa to Wisconsin. 21 pounds, 6 ounces. I was expecting it to cost me between 40-50.
Most people think everything has to be shipped in a box. It’s not true. All it needs is a shipping label. But, at the very least I try to wrap it in something protective on items such as a bumper. I’ve shipped dozens of items without boxes over the last several years. It’s not a problem. Some items just aren’t practical to put in a box.Summit racing just shipped my leaf springs with an address tag attached. The ups driver was shocked and asked me to inspect when delivered.

USPS. I ordered a new bumper and was hoping it would arrive first. Hoping to use the box perhaps to ship the one I just sold. But, they took too long to ship it. So, I just bought 2 rolls of heavy duty bubble wrap from Walmart at $5 each and wrapped in it that. That’s all you need. Put some extra padding on the sharp corners. Not a problem
