Stuck front brake drum

I'm still amazed he separated the other side, must have been restudded over time as the OE is swagged in place.

No. That was off the driver side front
Wait, am I understanding correctly? You didnt have to take the cotter pin and nut off of the other side front? And the studs were knocked out already?

Im cornfused. lol

He didn’t do the separating. When an aftermarket drum goes on the shop cuts the swedged studs and now the drum and hub slide apart like the rear does.

I’ll send pic. The hub pulled off without removing the cotter pin and nut.

Thanks for the red X Marpar.... Do you think everytime an old dodge came in for service they hammered the lug bolts out to separate the hub from the drum? Had both of mine, still factory OE, turned last year assembled.

Gave me a Red X and agreed with R413 and we both stated the same thing!! WTF

But where is the inner portion where the bearings go? I thought it was all one piece??

I only disagreed cuz you said to leave the bearings in.

Hub does not need to be separated. It can be put on the drum cutting lathe with the bearings in.

The photo shows R on the studs meaning right hand threads. Bet the other side the left hand studs were changed to rights some time in its life.

Sorry, but I took the cones out and the shop made me put them back in so the drum was perfectly centered as it rotates!

My apologies. I was always under the impression it was all one piece!

So is there a front and back hub piece(s) that swedge together in the drum then?
