Exploding Demons

Bang for the buck in the wrong way. :)

Explain how that happened to the Dealer tech,
Good thing those beasts come with a warranty...

Does anyone know if they use an IRS like the rest of the challengers or a solid axle?

They are all independent rear axles but the Hellcat/Demon/Redeye models have sturdier components as compared to the V6 and 5.7 models.

The way I took it is spinning tires on the street and causing wheel hop is what weakens and cracks the differential. And then putting the car on track with tons of traction makes the cracks bigger lol oops. Sounds like something dodge will add to the warranty wording.

Wrinkle slicks to a independant corvette styled rear end .

Those two go together?

Doesn't look like it.
Need to swap in a Dana 60 or a 9" solid axle if yer gonna get serious IMO. Don't see many Dana's or 9" puking their guts out on the track that often. Think a nodular iron housing's in order for that fix....maybe

Agreed.... for a car that was built for drag racing, one would think that a solid rear axle would be the best bet. Plus it should lightenen it up some. Maybe the new rumoured “angel” will be equipped with one.

The dark colored car has over 1000 HP. The orange cars problem was caused by the driver not loading the drive train.

840+ hp has a tendency to do that type of stuff...

I'm shocked we don't see more of it especially using slicks

'nothing is indestructible, Dana-60 or a 9" ford either'

I've broke both

They do make Dana’s and 9’s for a IRS set up, perhaps Dodge should consider the Dana 60’s for the Demon.

The ring gear on the Demon is slightly bigger than 9".

Here is the diff of the dark car. From another web site so I guess it's ok to post.
