Bench test for 1973 rear defroster motor

Wow, that was a great help! Thanks to all for the information! I have one more question. Is there suppose to be some sort of mounting bracket for the defogger motor to attach to the bottom of the speaker hole? The holes don't match up.

There is a sheet metal plate that screws to the speaker holes then the defroster screws to it. Let me see if I can find a photo.

This kit happens to be for a early Barracuda but you can see the plate under the blower.

The plate that is attached to the motor has been cut off on one side and re-drilled. Whoever had this car last, moved the blower motor to the drivers side on the other side of the trunk hinge so they could have 2 speakers. Do you know if you can get the mounting plate aftermarket?
