I’m finally back in the MOPAR community! Just picked this up yesterday...and it needs a lot. But it’s a savable car. Good frame and firewall, but it’ll need a roof skin, quarters, deck filler panel, tail panel, trunk/dropoffs and floors at the very least. Front clip needs to be replaced, and the lower driver A-pillar needs attention. I know a lot of this is common B-body rust.

No motor or drivetrain, but it was an LL1 turquoise H code 383 auto car.

Sweet! Good luck with your project, lots of info here. Welcome!

Make sure your tetanus shoots are up to date.

For the experienced body guys, what would be the best panel to start with? We can do floors, trunk, etc...but I’ll leave the roof and quarters to a local professional. And for the floors, trunk etc, would I need to brace assuming I am only replacing one panel at a time?

sweet and have fun, please keep us up to date on the project. Is that a 69 or 70 in the 4th pic?

I hope you paid scrap price for the car ....boy its rough. good luck it needs everything when its done it will be awesome its a blank slate.

I think a 69? The guy I got it from had several coronets, bees and roadrunners.

Even rough chargers aren’t cheap around here. Rotted frame cars have sold for 1-3k.

lost my 69 RT/SE in Huston many years ago. Watch your car there.

Good info in this video. Guy has done a lot of panel replacement on chargers and some good tips for order of operations, panel alignment, etc.

Good luck.

That's insane I would never pay that much for a rotted car but I guess that's how it is. Make it nice.

I love LL1 cars

I have a LL-1 68 Charger also. And also a project, but not as much as yours! I look forward to seeing the transformation.

Welcome to the site. A lot of good info around here. Kind of looks like you have a Wisconsin car that migrated south by all the rust. Hopefully the rails and rockers are in good shape.

I love the 68 chargers. It is worth saving. I'm looking forward to watching your progress.
