A friend bought a ranch and he is cleaning it up. He told me there is a Plymouth I can buy and he says it has a glass top like Fords and Mercurys had. He said it looks original. I've never heard of one before. Haven't gone to look at it as the weather on the prairie is life threatening right now between the drifts and the wind chills. If it was B body or something I'm more inclined to like, I wouldn't risk waiting.

See if a picture can be provided...

In the '50's, some Fords and Mercury's had a plexiglass roof. I'm not sure if Plymouth did the same thing.

not sure if any Chrysler products had them and not sure if they had any concept vehicles with them either, still looking there might have been a custom shop build them remember the Bubble top customs

It might be hard to imagine, but walking 1/4 of a mile right now would be risking serious frostbite. Where he lives has spotty cell service and 1 person per several square miles. No place to screw around this time of year. If it was B Body, 'Cuda, or Hemi, I would be leaving at first light, anything less can wait a couple weeks until the weather turns. Anyway, I'm thinking it's an odd Mercury he doesn't recognize.

That sounds more plausible, the same weather that keeps me away keeps them home. Lots of time to do crazy things with cars.

my money says 64-66 Barracuda

A Ed Roth original!

"Ratfink" from ED (Big Daddy) Roth! I wonder if he and Don Garlits ever met and if so who is the real "Big Daddy" LOL
By the way, I do think there was a Bubble Top Plymouth concept way back then, maybe more than one.

Not to highjack, nor to promote..... But if any of you are nostalgia lovers, and have any interest in the few art artifacts for Mopar heads that Ed Roth did, his widow and son IIRC (third wife) are still marketing his merchandise. I bought some shirts a little while back and was surprised to find they were top quality, no cheap stuff at all. http://www.ratfink.com/rat-fink-clothing.php HTH,Lefty71
