Picture of repop and an OE housing. The OE I picked up at a Flea Market back in '88 to replace my OE's that were pooched, but I presume flat or semi-gloss Black is correct vs the repops Greyish colour?

I'm no expert, but I would go with semi-gloss black....or matted off black.

I think mine were plain aluminum. At the end of the day, does it really even matter the color? You can't see them anyway really.

Thanks! I guess you've never looked at my resto thread as to what doesn't matter... like ident paint stripes on an internal steering column tube! :steering:

When I was younger, I have painted almost every sq/in of the engine and car, but as I have gotten older... I am quite **** about machining the engines, and making them look good. Looking at some of these pics here, I might have to digress and think mine were black also. It was 1988, so I have slept a few times since then... :)

If you are using rattle cans, SEM trim black would probably work.
