All-

I am struggling to find a replacement oil pan for my 63 Belvedere 426 Max Wedge. I have been all over the web, Milodon, Jegs, Summit etc... with no luck. I bought and tried the 5-1/2" Milodon (pn 31580) but the K-member on the 63 would not allow it to fit. I see 65 and older pans all over the place but I guess the K-member was redesigned then.

Does anyone know of a place that remans the 2402307 (6qt) pan or ANY pan that will fit the 426 in the stock 63 chassis?

I have no issue with an after market (non-OEM) part as the car is not a perfect restore. The pan on it was a Milodon, 7-1/2" deep. Problem is, not enough clearance. Road rash got the better of it.

Any ideas or info would be greatly appreciated...

Try Kramer they got a lot of old style stuff. You will have to call them cause a lot of the stuff you have to ask about pricing is good. The people are great

You need one like this.
I think somebody on here has a post about lowering the sump in the milodon pan.
Rumor is that vans is thinking about repro the 63-65 bb pan

I had the same trouble for my build. Chooch may be referring to my post, under the 1962-1965 Mopars section. Look up BB/Hemi Oil Pan Project. The pan turned out pretty good, and may do another for my '65 when I get to it.

I use the Moroso 7 qt pan. No cutting anything as it fits right in with the stock K-frame and suspension. Ron

I put a Milodon pan in my 64 Polara 426 wedge. All you need to do is make a small notch in the passenger side of the K member and in you go.

Just talked to Van's. He said maybe 6 months yet.

I used the Milodon pan. I think I dimpled it. And, yeah, I nubbed it on the road and took it off and pounded it back out.

Thanks all for the help. Found a stock one. Cleaned and painted. Cruisin' with confidence!

Just cut a very small notch in the passenger side of K-member and your milodon will fit.

I can give you the number once I get home in March.

I used a Hemi oil pan on both my 62 Dart and my 64 Plymouth just had to trim the K frame a little even made a skid plate
