I currently am getting ready to install a 440 in my 68 charger. with the stage 6 heads, and the spacers required for the intake I'm pushing my hood clearance. my mounts to the isolaters have two holes, which i robbed from my original motor in my car when it had a scoop on it. My question is, can i bolt the isolators to the upper holes in the mount to lowers my engine or will it change the distance for bolting up to the K-member. currently in the lower ones in pic, bolt was welded in by previous owner.thanks!

I guess it depends on the difference of those 2 holes... I would think not cause the oil pan will end up resting on the center link and if using headers they will be laying on the steering box along with many other alignment issues...

thats what i thought using stock pan and exhaust manifolds, also wondered about drive train alignment, was wondering if anyone has ran into this

Looking at your heads they appear to be the angle plug version. I think they made straight plug too... Anyway you may want to see if your exhaust manifolds and those angled plugs with wires will even fit with stock exhaust manifolds....

I'm thinking the other holes are for a different k member or motor?

Won’t work. The motor mount bolt hole spacing will be off, in addition to trying to wedge it down further between 2 fixed points.

And the stud is on the other part of the mount and protrudes through the bracket with a nut on the other side. The second hole is for the alignment nub that sticks out on the other part of the mount. In its current setup you are going to run into issues trying to install the engine. Assuming it’s a stock k member.

I don't know why that bolt is welded in there. The isolater has a stud that goes in that hole, and an alignment nub that goes in the top hole.

thank you i assumed it wouldn't work, i am so close with a tape measure now waiting for the $150.00 six pack element to arrive so i can get a closer number. i don't have an "alignment nub" maybe mine has been altered. the bolt was welded there by the previous owner and came with this solid mount which i still may use. the new magmounts i got will require removal of that bolt as rt boy 67 stated, if i go that way. thanks to both of you guys for your response.
