“Survivor” 1968 R/T for 75K? *** Not Mine

Hope I didn't hit a nerve. I don't know if it's a scam or not, I was just looking at what was said. Thanks for looking out for everyone.
always do,i like happy people.
i like mopar happy people even more.
which reminds me,im swapping to discs on the 66,do you want the drums off the front?
with the studs intact instead of trying to remove them?
if so,pay shipping and they are yours.
sorry about that random thought in the middle of the thread.

From what is seen in those crappy pictures, it looks like a nice complete car, however, I think that too many deem their cars to be a "survivor" simply because it's still here after 50 years and don't actually know what the term "Survivor" actually means.

first email reply as follows.
the journey begins....

I have owned all of my cars for several years. Yes, they all have clear titles and are registered to me.

I am asking 75,000 for each of my 68, 69 and 70 chargers. I would look at reasonable offers.

If this is something of interest I would be happy to send you pics and more info.

Thanks

Kris

He's asking restored money for a Charger that needs restoration. If it's a rust-free car, I think 30-35 for that car would be reasonable considering that it needs to be completely gone through.

i agree,
heck this might even be some scammer because of the format used.
in the original email its all spaced wayyy out.
made me wonder right away...
at any rate,we are at stage 2..waiting for pics..
then ill ask for Vin numbers,so you Gurus can tell us the Real Deal.

This one has been haunting our local Craigslist for a while - slightly different pictures each time. Another dreamer at 10k. I’ve noticed the ‘69 Charger has a higher overall ‘value’ compared to the ‘68 (according to Hagerty). Is that because fewer were built or does the General Lee factor in? I mean, obviously the ‘68 is better looking!

Why people confuse the tic - toc - tach with the clock ? isn't obvious the difference.

I ALSO HAVE A 1969 AND 1970 CHARGER FOR SELL.
I ALSO HAVE A 1970 DODGE CHALLENGER RT/SE FOR SELL.

Spellcheck covers a lot of sins, but being a dumbass is harder to repair.

It would be interesting to know how many of theses Craigslist gems have made it here to FBBO with their new owners. :D

could have at least made an effort
to make them presentable, clean it/them

sellers 101, survivor or not

none of the were either, not what I would consider a survivor
& I'm nowhere near as critical as some,
when it comes to day 2 mods

but a "true survivor" has all it's OE equipment, #'s matching
date coded parts or at-least, basically untouched
except tune ups, tires, brakes, battery bulbs
& other basic OE replacement maintenance parts
some don't even consider that survivor status
none of them did have all that

And needs to have a fender tag, w numbers on rad support & trunk lip that correlate. It doesnt even mention them.

The door alignment is way off.....

......as well as the front bumper. Also, the space between the grille and fender is too large.....

How many millions is he asking for that. It's not bad, but pink is not my color. Any more info on the '68?

i can ask for more info RC
the 69 pics are coming next.

Edit :

This car I was in the process of making triple black. The body has been complete. I had it professionally rotisserie done. The front quarters have been replace. The lines are perfect. The Dana rear end front suspension and brakes have been done. I have all the parts that were removed from this car. I do not have am engine or tranny. I want 75,000 for this car. I have way more than that into it...getting the body to be perfect. It is ready to be finished.
