I am restoring my 69 Roadrunner. Can someone please tell me if the Road Runner emblems should be a chrome finish or a brushed silver/chrome finish. AMD carries brushed finish and some on EBay are chrome finish similar like the chrome on car models. Which is correct?

Thanks

I have found some of the PLYMOUTH NOS hood emblems with chrome.

Hood emblems are chrome I believe, at least in '70 they are....the ones that say "Road Runner"
I don't think there are any hood emblems on a 1970 road runner. The "road runner" emblems are in the grill, side scoops and for cars without the rear decal, on the tail panel right hand side. The only thing on the hood might be a 440+6 decal and the engine call out behind the insert.

GTX and Sport Satellite would have 'Plymouth' on the front of the hood.

'69 should be "brushed" (still have my originals) and the later "stick-on" type will be chrome. I think the "brushed" were actually just a poorly finished before chroming as they are all pot metal which needs to be plated . They just didn't put the effort into the early parts.

You are correct & the grille emblem is what I was thinking about

What about the Plymouth hood emblem. Should it be brushed or chrome?
