So the part with sound deadener only gets lightly misted by paint color??

It's your car do as you see fit. Unless your building a 100 point, date codes up the a$$ Bloomington Gold car I would paint/detail it better than the boys on the line did. I'm one to try and make it better than it was, go that extra mile detailing something that wouldn't be possible in a mass production line.. There is not one piece of bare steel on my car, everything either has color or clear on it. I do this because I hate RUST!!!
